About the Name ~

Timothy & Nathaniel Doane were along side of Moses Cleveland when the city of Cleveland was settled in the 1700's. Timothy had a log cabin with the first tavern attached to it in Cleveland. Ann Doan and Abigail Doan Conkle are direct descendants of the Doane Family.

Marla & Tyler Robbins family had Millers in their heritage. Sarah Miller lived in Canal Fulton in the 1800's and is buried in the local cemetery.

Thus, our family combined the names as a nod to our history and Miller-Doan Tavern honors the ties to our Irish, German, and English heritage.

We wanted a place where history recreates itself and that you can come to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.
